How to make Doodh Poha

Doodh Poha is made by simmering the poha in sweetened milk and garnishing it further with dry fruits. It is supposed to be eaten cold.

Ingredients of Doodh Poha

  • 500 Mililitres Milk
  • 1 cup Poha
  • Jaggery- as per taste
  • 1 tbsp Almonds (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Cashew Nuts (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Raisins (chopped)
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 Bay Leaf

How to Make Doodh Poha

Soak the poha in water for a minute or two and drain out the excess water. Keep aside.
Boil the milk with cardamom and bay leaf.
Add the soaked poha in it and stir to avoid burning.
When you get the desired consistency, lower the flame and add jaggery or sugar and mix everything together.
Add the dried fruits and nuts and mix.
